Zotefoams to present its pure performance polyolefin foam range at APFE 2019
AZOTE® polyolefin foams will be the focal point for Zotefoams, the world’s largest producer of lightweight, cross-linked polyolefin block foams, at this year’s APFE exhibition in Shanghai, China. Zotefoams will highlight its distinctive properties that facilitate the production of high-quality finished products for applications in a variety of markets including automotive, electronics, healthcare and sports and leisure.
AZOTE is a range of uniformly dense foam sheets with a consistent cell structure, manufactured in various densities using Zotefoams’ unique nitrogen expansion process. Visitors to booth T132 will have the opportunity to learn more about the individual characteristics of the AZOTE foam range, from MP15 FR, the lowest density flame retarded closed cell PE foam, to HD115, a rigid foam boasting a density of 115kg/m3.
The AZOTE foam range incorporates three renowned brands – Plastazote®, Evazote® and Supazote® – all characterised by controlled cell size and structure, outstanding purity, exceptional physical performance and extremely low odour. Zotefoams has recently announced two new grades in its Plastazote polyolefin foam range, predominately to improve efficiencies in product protection applications, offering superior performance as the range continues to meet the most demanding regulations across various industries.
Originally developed in 1962 and based on polyethylene, Plastazote was the first material of its kind, setting new performance standards for expanded materials. Zotefoams’ polyolefin foams have since experienced strong organic growth, with volumes set to increase further as new applications continue to emerge. To meet this demand, Zotefoams is investing in new capacity in three locations globally.
