ZOTEK® F

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride)

High performance closed cell, crosslinked fluoropolymer foam

ZOTEK® F  foams are inherently flame retardant releasing very little heat and only small quantities of smoke during combustion. They are biologically inert and offer:

Characteristics

Range of densities 30kg/m3 to 150kg/m3
Resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals including most solvents
Thermal stability up to 160°C / 320ᵒF
Excellent flammability resistance
Low smoke & toxicity
Resistance to UV, nuclear radiation and ageing
High dielectric strength

Applications

Automotive

The ideal material for under the hood applications. With UL94 V-0 flammability rating, excellent compression strength and thermal insulation.

Manufactured via Zotefoams’ unique method, ZOTEK® F has negligible VOC content and is typically 10-15% lighter than any competing material.

  • UL94 V-0 flammability rating
  • Outstanding compression strength for protection against vibration and shocks
  • Stable up to 160°C
  • Excellent thermal insulation
  • Resistance to wide range of chemicals and solvents

Aviation

Commercial, business and military aircraft and aerospace industries

Insulation Construction & Electronics

Zotefoams T-FIT® range advanced industrial tube and pipe insulation systems
For Semiconductor & pharmaceutical clean-room environments (sealing and insulation applications)
 Electronics industries
Industrial applications such as chemical engineering, pharmaceutical production, and medical equipment
High specification building and construction projects where UV resistance is key

Processing

ZOTEK® F foams can be processed using a wide variety of conventional conversion methods. These techniques include ie-cutting, water jet cutting, sawing, laminating, and welding into continuous rolls. They can also be thermoformed into complex single component structures providing benefits over multi-layer foam systems, such as weight and cost reduction.
