Smarter material choices helped Hochdorf, Switzerland-based thermoforming expert Plastika Balumag reduce the weight of its parts for a wide range of aircraft applications. Using lightweight Zotek F OSU XR, Plastika was able to form an innovative self-insulating air duct assembly to optimise air circulation through the on-board ventilation system.

Zotefoams lightweight foams deliver damping, insulation, seals and interior trims for the automotive sector. The foams are made from a range of polymers that deliver acoustic, thermal and energy management properties, which are suitable for interiors, the engine bay, or as a sandwich material for composite cores.
