To advance our Expanding Beyond the Core growth strategy and strengthen our competitive position, Zotefoams will be investing £6.8m over the next three years in order to develop three important hubs.
Global Innovation Hub
Based at our historic Croydon site, where we have operated continuously since 1935, we will create a start-of-the-art innovation facility to serve as the global centre for breakthrough technologies and next-generation product development.
Leveraging our legacy location and its existing infrastructure enables us to reduce operational costs and allows seamless collaboration between our R&D teams and manufacturing expertise, accelerating the development of advanced foam solutions across our three core markets.
Footwear Innovation Centre
Following the announcement of our joint venture with Seoheung Co. Ltd, Busan, South Korea, will be the home of the Footwear Innovation Centre.
South Korea represents one of the world’s largest footwear innovation hubs and will enable rapid development and deployment of next-generation footwear foam technologies as well as placing Zotefoams closer to key Asian customers and partners.
This innovation centre will be led by an experienced Korean executive with a deep expertise in both footwear design and foam applications to enhance customer collaboration and accelerate growth in one of Zotefoams’ fastest-expanding markets.
Additionally, to strengthen leadership of innovation and strategic projects, Zotefoams has appointed Simon Comer as its first Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, expanding on his previous role as Group Strategy & Delivery Director.
In his new role, Simon will oversee the Innovation & Development team, the Results Delivery Office and corporate development, ensuring innovation is aligned with disciplined execution in support of the Group’s strategic priorities.
