Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certificate

Oeko-Tex 100 is an increasingly important toxicity standard for the textile industry. The standard seeks to identify materials that do not contain amongst others, allergenic or potentially carcinogenic dye-stuffs, formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticides and chlorinated phenols… in fact, any constituent that could be harmful.   Materials may be classified in four categories the most stringent of which is approval for dermal contact with babies. A variety of Plastazote LD and Evazote EV & VA grades, in black, white and colours, has been tested and shown to meet these stringent requirements.   Our certificate of approval is to be found in the technical section of our web site www.zotefoams.com (or by clicking here) and the approval is also confirmed along with further details of the standard on the Oeko-Tex web site www.oekotex.com.   This approval, which is based on annual re-testing of samples, is relevant to any project in the textile field and equally as important, any project where the foam is likely to come into contact with the skin. It reaffirms Zotefoam’s commitment to producing materials of the highest purity and substantiating that with independent testing.   Oeko-Tex 100 Standard
